Brussels

I headed to Brussels from Amsterdam. During the bus ride, I met a Moroccan traveller and we spoke about cultures, and the various countries he visited. He mentioned he loved Amsterdam the most. We stopped at one of the gas stations for a break. The journey was good. The traveler warned me about pick pockets in Paris when I travel there from Brussels.

I stayed at the Hotel Le Dome. It was an old hotel but the room was fairly clean. I had a walking tour booked in the afternoon. So I headed there but my feet was sore from all the walking I did in Amsterdam already. I was foolish to not invest in a good pair of walking shoes as a result I got blisters on my feet. Cold water seemed to help lower the pain. I met my tour guide at the Grand Palace. The tour fee was based on donation in terms of how much you enjoyed it. The Grand Palace was astonishing as it considered by Victor Hugo to be one of the most beautiful in the world and “the most beautiful theatre in the world” by Jean Cocteau.

Brussels was a wonderful city. I also saw the Manneken Piss and the Adventures of Tin tin wall. The architecture was eye catching and the air felt fresh. Famished from my tour I went to a Morrocan restaurant and there I had a big plate of pasta. The meal was very filling. Following the meal I went back to my hotel took a nap. I woke up in the evening. I ventured out for a long walk to see the night life in Brussels. Similar to other metropolitan cities there was poverty, and dirt but the architecture and roads was nice. I returned back walking around and met a fellow traveler from America. He helped me out ordering a burger from a Tunisian restaurant right by the hotel. He was vacationing as well and told me he enjoyed Brussels. I went back to the hotel and fell asleep and woke up the next day, had some breakfast. I then made my way to the Flix bus on route to Paris.
